Thumbnail Creator
Purpose:
The Thumbnail Creator lets you create thumbnail images , HTML files and Upload these files to put it
onto your homepage..
Wizard:
The Wizard is an interactive dialog that lets you select everything necessary step by step.
Menu:
Files
Add Images. Load or Save sets of images with their description, hint and file name (Attention: the image itself is not stored in the sets, temporay images will be lost).
Edit : Undo removes the currently computed gallery from the disk
Style: edit gallery style options for navigation, tables, lists, ...
Internet: Upload Gallery: Upload the gallery via ftp to your homepage.
Help: Link to help.
Directories:
HTML-Dir.: directory the HTML files will be stored
Image-Dir.: sub-directory of the HTML directory, the images and thumbnails will be stored there.
HTML-File.: name of the HTML file of the gallery. If the file already exists, the following may happen:

if a template file is used, the file will be overwritten
-
if no template is used, the gallery will be added to the file. With <!- !ThumbnailCreatorAddHere! -> the position of the gallery
in the file can be specified. Otherwise it will be added at the bottom.
use Template:
Select a template gallery. A template contains HTML files and thumbnail creator options. The options are set when the template is selected and the user can modify them afterwards. There are also template options that can be modified in the template dialog.
The template options usually are colors or the gallery headline.
Style:
Select the way the thumbnails should be grouped. Possibilities: Table, Paragraph, List and Collage.
Row/Pics specifies the number of thumbnails on one page for List and Paragraph.
Row and Columns specifies the number of thumbnails in a row and a column for Table and Collage.
To edit specific options for the selected style, press the button behind with style name or open the edit dialog in the menu "Style".
Thumbnails:
Quality select quality of the thumbnail. Higher quality means larger files and longer download times.
Size
Select the width and the height of the thumbnails. The buttons Small, Middle and Large are presets for width and height.
The radio buttons on the left determine how the image will be transformed to a thumbnail of the given size.
Limit: Either width or height of the thumbnail are exact of the given width or height. The other size of the thumbnail is smaller or equal than their given value due to aspects of height/width ratio of the image.
Hard Limit: Thumbnail has given width and height, but due to the width/height ratio of the image, some parts of the image won't be visible.
Stretch: Thumbnail has given width and height. Width/Height ratio of the original image are ignored.
Fit: Thumbnail has a width and height less or equal than their given values. The values are chosen in a way to minize variation of image size among the thumbnails.
Images:
Resize, if Image is larger than : resizes image if either width or height are larger than the given value. The new size is determined via Limit.
let me adjust compression for each image: will open the JPEG compression dialog for all images when the gallery is computed.
link to HTML: The gallery does not directly link to the image, but to a HTML file with the image. The Image HTML options button opens a dialog with the image HTML file template.
General:
No HTML, only images: only creates the thumbnails the copies the images. No HTML gallery file is computed.
Images = Thumbnails: the images are used as thumbnails. The gallery displays the images in thumbnails size by specifying the width and the height in the HTML code. Warning: the gallery will take much longer to load.
Show HTML code: shows the created HTML code
Target Frame: the gallery links use the given frame as target. See HTML specifications for the use of this element.
Go:
Compute the gallery and open it with the default browser. The computation can be undone with Edit -> Undo in the Menu.
If a gallery was already computed, a dialog will ask if this gallery shall be added to the old one, or if this gallery shall replace the previously computed gallery.
